Dang Phan is the CEO of CapitaLand Investment (CLI) United States. He has served three and a half decades in real estate finance, private equity, investment, and investment management in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Dang Phan was President and Chief Investment Officer at Monday Properties and Managing Partner of Beacon Pacific LLC, an entrepreneurial investment vehicle he founded in late 2015. Over two prior decades, he was a senior principal, Chief Financial Officer, and/or Chief Operating Officer of three global real estate private equity fund businesses at Goldman Sachs (Whitehall funds), Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (Real Estate Capital Partners funds), and Soros Fund Management (Soros Real Estate funds), and its successor firm Grove International Partners (Grove funds).

Dang Phan graduated from the University of Pennsylvania as a Benjamin Franklin Scholar, with honors and holds a bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering. He is also a Master of Business Administration graduate with Harvard Business School.

Ted Koros, Managing Director for US Capital Fund Raising & Business Development at CapitaLand Investment, Ted has over 30 years of experience in real assets investments with expertise in all elements of capital raising, product development, and marketing for both domestic and global strategies. He has extensive experience creating funds and successfully bringing them to market by partnering with portfolio, research and strategy, and product development teams.

Prior to his current role, Ted served as Managing Director for BlackRock Real Estate where he led capital raising in the Western US for both domestic and international products. During his 26-year tenure at BlackRock, Ted had several other roles including portfolio management overseeing several multifamily fund strategies, acquisitions with a specialty in multifamily assets and Chief Operating Officer of Metric Property Management.

Ted holds a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis. He is a CFA® charterholder.

William Bond is Head of Asset Management at CapitaLand Investment (CLI), based in New York. His primary focus is to lead the asset management team in the strategic oversight of CLI's equity investments in institutional-quality office, multifamily, life science and industrial real estate assets.

William has worked in commercial real estate for more than two decades. Prior to joining CLI, William spent 14 years at Vanbarton Group (formerly Emmes Asset Management – “Vanbarton”), a real estate private equity firm in New York, where he was Principal and Head of Asset Management heading up strategic management on the $2.7 Billion (net) portfolio of multifamily, office and retail equity and debt investments. He led a vertically integrated team including 11 asset management professionals and 22 property and construction management personnel.

William graduated from Bowdoin College cum laude with a bachelor’s in Government and Legal Studies as well as earned a Master of Business Administration in finance from Stern School of Business at New York University.

Chris Stanley is CapitaLand Investment’s (CLI) Senior Director of Investments, based in Los Angeles. He has worked in commercial real estate for 16 years.

Prior to joining CapitaLand Investment in 2021, Chris served six years in acquisitions and asset management at Rockwood Capital, a real estate private equity firm in San Francisco where he was Vice President. While at Rockwood, Chris completed over 4,250 units of multifamily acquisitions and development and over 1.8 million square feet of commercial transactions.

Prior to Rockwood, Chris served for four years in real estate acquisitions and asset management at Canyon Partners, a $21 billion hedge fund based in Los Angeles.

Chris graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s in Engineering and earned a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School.

Eaton Zhou is Head of Investments for The Ascott Limited, CapitaLand Investment’s wholly owned lodging business unit. In this role he focuses on hospitality and student housing assets. Over his 17-year career, he has acquired over $6 billion in real estate spanning, office, hotels, multi-family, student housing and corporate M&A.

Prior to joining in 2017, Eaton was handling investment analysis for InterContinental Hotels Group covering the Americas region. He started his career in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group at JPMorgan covering public real estate companies and opportunity funds.

Eaton holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana University and a Masters of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore where he was an APEC full scholarship recipient. Eaton is also a CFA charterholder.

Michael Lee is CapitaLand Investment’s (CLI) Senior Director of Investments, based in New York. He brings 20 years of experience in real estate investment.

Prior to joining CLI in 2021, Michael served for 10 years at Island Capital Group (formerly C-III Capital Partners), an opportunistic real estate private equity firm in New York where he was Senior Vice President. At Island, he led the acquisition of more than two dozen apartment, office, industrial, and distressed debt transactions nationwide.

Previously, Michael was Senior Associate at The Carlyle Group, where he was part of the acquisitions team. At Carlyle, he invested in over $3 billion of real estate, including apartment portfolios, commercial property repositionings and distressed debt.

Michael received a bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Virginia.

Arifur Rahman joined CapitaLand Investment in 2019 and oversees the accounting, tax, information technology and corporate finance functions. In this role, he is responsible for accounting and tax policy, compliance, reporting and treasury management on acquisitions, dispositions, and existing properties within the United States portfolio. With over 14 years of experience in commercial real estate, Arifur has significant expertise with property, portfolio, and fund level accounting and finance.

Previously, Arifur was controller for Silverstein Properties where he led the accounting team responsible for a diverse portfolio of properties throughout the New York market. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in managing the accounting and financing for more than 10 million square feet of real estate in various investment portfolios.

Arifur is a graduate of the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, where he received a bachelor’sin Finance. He is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs.
