Matthew Sohn is CapitaLand Investment’s (CLI) Managing Director and Head for Korea. Matthew has over 26 years of experience in real estate, building engineering and the construction industry. Throughout his distinguished career, Matthew has dedicated 16 years to CLI, assuming diverse roles encompassing development management, risk management, investment underwriting, asset management, and country head responsibilities. Under his astute leadership, the South Korean team has achieved significant milestones, establishing itself as one of the most reputable AMCs (Korea local fund manager) with a robust and diversified portfolio in the market.

Before CLI, Matthew was with Parsons Brinckerhoff (currently WSP) and local engineering/construction companies where he built up his expertise on the real estate eco-system including construction and engineering.

Matthew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Master’s degree in Building Structural Engineering from Hanyang University in South Korea. He is also a certified Professional Engineer in building construction.

Jay Weon Khym (Jay) is General Manager, Data Centre, South Korea at CapitaLand Investment Korea, responsible for growing CLI’s data centre business in South Korea. He brings more than 35 years of diverse business experience and track record in global telecommunications, information and communication technology, and data centre industries.

Before his appointment at CLI, Jay held the position of Country Manager/Head of Digital Realty Korea, where he played a pivotal role in the operational management of its inaugural purpose-built data centre and the investment of its second hyperscale data centre in South Korea. Prior to that, Jay managed his own consulting firm - Khym & Jay Global, which specialised in advising on telecom and data centre markets in South Korea.

Jay holds an MBA from the graduate school of Yonsei University and BA in Korea University, Seoul.

Euna Oh is Head of Investment and Business Development at CapitaLand Investment (CLI) Korea, where she spearheads the exploration of new business opportunities and partnerships in South Korea. With over 20 years of dedicated experience in the real estate industry, Euna brings profound knowledge and an extensive network to her role. Euna's notable accomplishments include the establishment of a logistics fund financed by CapitaLand Open Ended Fund, as well as the successful sourcing of two data centre development deals funded by CapitaLand. Additionally, she has facilitated the setup of two logistics funds, which received investments from a joint venture between CapitaLand and a U.S.-based insurance company.

Prior to joining CLI, she has held various roles at GE Capital Real Estate including asset management, financial planning and analysis and risk management. She oversaw management of office, logistics, retail, and residential portfolio.

Euna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration from Yonsei University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Ilsung Min is the Head of the Capital Markets team at CapitaLand Investment (CLI) Korea. With over 25 years of experience in the real estate investment and fund management industry, Ilsung has been instrumental in over 20 real estate investments, developments, and project financing endeavors across various sectors in Korea. Since joining CapitaLand in 2008, Ilsung has actively contributed to strategy formulation, deal sourcing, negotiations, structuring, capital raising, documentation, and closing of core, value-add, and development projects in South Korea, collectively valued at over US$3 billion.

Prior to CLI, Ilsung garnered extensive experience as a seasoned real estate professional at Samsung Life, the largest South Korean life insurance company, and at a boutique firm where he held leadership roles.

Ilsung Min holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Sogang University and a Masters in Business Administration from Korea University, South Korea.

Minjung Byun is Head of Asset Management at CapitaLand Investment (CLI) Korea. Since joining in 2004, Minjung Byun has made significant contributions to the organisation.

Prior to CLI, Minjung assumed the role of head of asset management at M&G Korea, where she oversaw various prime assets, including logistic facilities and offices

Minjung holds a Master’s degree in Real Estate from National University of Singapore and a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning & Engineering from Yonsei University.

Emma Yun is Head of Development Management at CapitaLand Investment (CLI) Korea, where she oversees the management of real estate funds dedicated to development projects in South Korea. 

With over 15 years of experience in real estate development, Emma has held various roles at organisations such Doosan E&C, Turner & Townsend and CBRE, where she worked on projects spanning data centres, logistics, residential and theme parks.

Emma holds a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering from Yonsei University and is certified in LEED (issued by the USGBC – Green Building Council) and PMP (Project Management Professional), underscoring her commitment to sustainability and project management.
